Scrimmage Thursday

Reminder: Thursday, February 14th, the girls one last opportunity to scrimmage during halftime of the B-Team's game. They should arrive by 5:35pm. Kirsti Fleming will be in the gym waiting for them and then take them to sit behind the B-Team. If they could arrive wearing the specific t-shirt, that will help. We will have extras on hand in case we need to quick change. As the girls have always practiced as a team, this will help them identify who is on their team. The teams are simply divided up on the availability of shirts as it is only a 7-minute scrimmage among themselves.

GOLD SHIRTS: Grace, Jada, Kaylie, Tallyn, Samantha, Taylor
MAROON SHIRTS: Kylie, Mackenzie, Alex, Kira, Faith, Lily, Madi
Based on how many arrive tomorrow, we will switch teams to even them out. If you know ahead of time that you cannot come, please let us know. Thanks.

MESSAGE FROM COACH GOTTENBORG: Being a proud participant in the Nugget FUNdamental League you are invited to play at half-time against your classmates of a B-squad girls basketball game. You will be allowed to attend free of charge. Come to the game at 5:35pm. Wear gym clothes and tennis shoes, and preferably a maroon or gold shirt (see above). You will get a chance to go into the locker room before the B-game and listen to Coach Ben Lofgren fire up his B-team before the game. Please sit directly behind the Hawley Nugget Bench in the bleachers and watch the games. You will play on the Nugget gym floor at halftime of the first game. You are also invited to stand in line with the varsity team during the introductions of starting lineups and cheer the girls on to victory. See the schedule below for the games you are invited to play at. On February 22 is Autograph night and all girls basketball players Grades 3-6 are invited to attend and you will be able to get autographs of varsity players after the Varsity Game.

Team Pictures this Sunday at practice. If the girls could wear a mostly maroon t-shirt, such as the ones they received from the PTO in Kindergarten, that would be great. I will have a few extra maroon shirts just in case.
